5 Pillars of Islam Booklet
Purpose: to explore the origins and basic beliefs of the Islamic Faith
Materials: construction paper, internet resources, coloring utensils
Procedure: create an 8 page booklet to explain the basic beliefs of Islam, use this checklist for each page.
1. Title Page
2. Introduction- summary of Muhammad and the birth of Islam
3. Pillar 1- title, description of pillar, images that symbolize this pillar
4. Pillar 2- title, description of pillar, images that symbolize this pillar
5. Pillar 3- title, description of pillar, images that symbolize this pillar
6. Pillar 4- title, description of pillar, images that symbolize this pillar
7. Pillar 5- title, description of pillar, images that symbolize this pillar
8. Conclusion- Write a paragraph that describes the importance of the five pillars to followers of Islam
Grading- this is a project grade; you will be graded on the following criteria
- Complete with 8 pages
- Written descriptions show understanding of Islamic beliefs
- Images symbolize or showcase each pillar and how it is practiced

- Grammar
